Tools for Humanity Executive Accused of Misappropriating Funds

On June 24, Tools for Humanity, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, initiated two investigations led by external law firms, focusing on improper use of funds by executives and potential violations in its Thailand operations. Executives are accused of approving payments of millions of dollars to a foreign company, which were not for normal business purchases or service fees, but rather to artificially inflate the market price of their cryptocurrency Worldcoin. Additionally, the Thai partner of Tools for Humanity is reportedly a suspect in an international 'pig butchering' scam. Meanwhile, regulatory authorities in multiple countries have raised serious concerns about Tools for Humanity's iris scanning and data collection methods.
