The White House chief of staff made startling remarks: Musk is a "drug addict," and the vice president is a "conspiracy theorist."

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles made a series of frank and sometimes critical remarks about President Trump's inner circle in an interview with Vanity Fair, including calling Musk an "openly self-admitted" "ketamine user." She also referred to Vice President Pence as a "conspiracy theorist," the Director of the Office of Management and Budget Vought as an "extreme right-wing fanatic," and criticized Attorney General Barr's handling of the "Epstein files." On Tuesday, the White House quickly tried to downplay the impact of the interview, with Wiles posting on social media that it was a "maliciously defamatory article" that "ignored important context." White House Press Secretary Psaki expressed support for Wiles, saying that Trump "has no greater or more loyal advisor than Susie."
