According to Beating AI news, Meituan has launched LongCat-2.5-Preview. The model retains the 1.6 trillion total parameters, approximately 48 billion activation parameters, and 1 million token context from LongCat-2.0, but adds native multimodal capabilities, enabling it to perform long-process tasks across various scenarios such as terminals, browsers, desktop software, spreadsheets, and design tools. LongCat-2.5-Preview is now integrated with the official API and is compatible with OpenAI and Anthropic interfaces, with a maximum output length of 128K tokens. The official announcement also provided access methods for Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, and CatPaw, allowing existing Agent tools to be directly invoked. Meituan is also offering 5 million free tokens to all existing users to experience the new model, and existing token packages can still be used. However, the official benchmark for LongCat-2.5 has not yet been released, and there is currently no public data available to compare the improvements in GUI operations and long-process tasks.
