Investigation: Transfers between UK bank accounts and cryptocurrency exchanges are frequently intercepted.

a new survey by the UK Cryptoasset Business Council (UKCBC) has found that even when customers try to use regulated platforms, transfers between UK bank accounts and cryptocurrency exchanges are often intercepted, delayed, or rejected.

The survey, titled "Locked Out: The Lack of Banking Services for the UK Digital Asset Economy," is based on feedback from the 10 largest centralized exchanges in the UK. These exchanges serve millions of UK consumers, with trading volumes reaching hundreds of billions of pounds. The survey found that eight out of ten exchanges reported a significant increase in customers experiencing blocked or restricted transfers in the past 12 months, with no exchange reporting a decrease in such cases.
