On October 15, a recent Fox News poll revealed that as Election Day approaches, voters hold negative views on the economic situation and the president's performance, placing the ruling party at a disadvantage. Sixty percent of voters indicated that the cost of living is their primary economic concern, far surpassing issues such as government spending (15%), employment and income inequality (7% each), tariffs (6%), and taxes (5%). A vast majority of voters have a negative assessment of the economy (74%) and expect the economic situation to worsen next year (53%); simultaneously, two-thirds of voters are dissatisfied with the current state of the nation (66%). Only 18% of voters reported that their household situation has improved compared to two years ago. In contrast, a majority of independent voters believe their circumstances have worsened (52%) and expect the economic situation to further decline (70%). Trump's approval rating on inflation is at a record low of just 22%. Additionally, sixty percent of voters oppose military action against Iran, and the same percentage holds negative views on artificial intelligence technology.
