Ethereum Institutional has announced the appointment of David Duong as the Head of the U.S. Region, responsible for fostering collaboration with U.S. institutional investors and facilitating further participation in the Ethereum ecosystem. Prior to this, David Duong served as the Head of Global Investment Research at Coinbase, where he focused on cryptocurrency market research for institutional clients of the exchange, covering areas such as macroeconomic analysis, valuation models, and market structure. He has 17 years of experience in sell-side macro strategy research at HSBC, Santander, and Deutsche Bank.

    On October 31, Bloomberg reported that U.S. President Trump is monitoring the Binance theft incident. In a C-SPAN live video, Trump responded to reporters' questions on October 30 while meeting with a U.S. citizen who had previously been detained by Russia in the Oval Office. When asked if the attack should be attributed to North Korean hacker groups, he stated, 'We don’t know, we are investigating this matter.' When questioned about the possibility of recovering the stolen funds, Trump mentioned that Binance has claimed they will recover the funds and assured that 'they say they have basically controlled the situation,' but he also noted that people have not seen the actual funds, expressing that he has always felt this 'a bit dangerous.' Previous reports indicated that Binance experienced a security incident this week, affecting approximately $6.3 billion in assets, with on-chain analysis firms like TRM Labs attributing it to the North Korean hacker group TraderTraitor.
