BlackRock sees more clients seeking to cut U.S. asset exposure to diversify

BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, has found that global clients are increasingly interested in shifting their asset allocation from the United States to other markets. Elaine Wu, head of investment and portfolio solutions for BlackRock Asia-Pacific, said at a media briefing in Hong Kong on Wednesday that a recent survey by the company showed that more than 20% of clients are considering reducing exposure to the US market and the US dollar. Wu said, "A considerable number of people are focusing on Asian stock allocation." However, she also added that other clients still have interest in the US market, and those clients who are reducing their US asset allocation may return in the future.
