On July 1, the EU's Crypto Asset Regulation MiCA will officially take effect. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has instructed unlicensed crypto service providers under MiCA to cease or limit their services in the EU and assist users in transferring assets or self-custody. It is reported that over 3,000 cryptocurrency companies registered in Europe by 2024, but only 244 currently hold a MiCA license, meaning the remaining companies must cease operations by July 1.
