Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced that the platform has decided to integrate the Lightning Network. Cathie Wood, founder of Ark Invest, wrote on social media that Bitcoin is the world's digital currency system and the Lightning Network is its payment layer.

The integration of Coinbase and the Lightning Network will provide its 100 million users with faster and cheaper Bitcoin transaction access. According to the latest data from 1ml, the current capacity of the Bitcoin Lightning Network has reached 4759.09 BTC (approximately $124,835,496.91), an increase of about 1% in the past 30 days.
