Base announces Onchain Summer II with $2 million in rewards

According to official sources, Base has announced the launch of Onchain Summer II, inviting builders, creators, brands, and artists to participate in its creation. Starting from June 3rd and ending in August, Base and its partners will offer over 600 ETH (2 million USD) in prizes, grants, and gas points. Interested users can submit their projects for a chance to showcase them at Onchain Summer.

This year's Onchain Summer will kick off with a one-month online hackathon hosted by Base and its partners. In July and August, Coinbase will showcase the daily experience of simple on-chain activities.

Last August, Coinbase announced a series of Onchain Summer events, including brands such as Coca-Cola, Atari, OpenSea, Pixelmon, and Showtime. Coinbase Vice President Max Branzburg stated that the theme of the Onchain Summer mint event will focus on "art, music, and games."
