Trump: War with Iran is Over

On June 12, CNN reported that Trump claimed today (Eastern Time on the 11th) that the United States has 'ended' its war with Iran, following his assertion that both sides have agreed to a 'very strong memorandum of understanding' to cease hostilities. During a phone call supporting Georgia's Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones in his gubernatorial campaign, Trump stated, 'I don’t know if you’ve heard, but today we ended the war with Iran, and they have agreed to never have nuclear weapons, which is our insistence and the entire goal, making up 95% of the agreement.' This statement came after Trump earlier today canceled further strikes against Iran, hinting on the 'Truth Social' platform that an agreement had been reached, though he did not elaborate on the terms. Iran has yet to confirm any agreement has been reached.
