The US SEC intends to amend the "third-party crypto asset securities" part of the motion in the lawsuit against Binance

On July 30th, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stated in documents submitted to the court that the SEC is requesting a modification to the motion regarding "third-party encrypted asset securities" in the lawsuit against Binance. The court does not currently need to make a ruling on the sufficiency of the charges against these tokens. Defendants in the case, Binance Holdings Limited, BAM Trading Services Inc., BAM Management US Holdings Inc., and Binance founder Zhao Changpeng, must submit a response agreeing or opposing the motion to modify within 30 days. If the defendants do not oppose, the SEC will proceed with further litigation.

The source said that one plan is that the tax objects will not only be Taiwanese chips themselves, but also electronic products such as iPhones equipped with Taiwanese chips. According to Wired magazine, the White House and the US Department of Commerce did not immediately comment, and TSMC declined to comment. (Jinshi)

According to the International News Agency, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Kolychev told reporters that the Russian Ministry of Finance does not plan to change the current investment structure of the National Welfare Fund, especially not to include crypto assets - the volatility of crypto assets is too high, and the current level of accumulation in the National Welfare Fund does not allow for consideration of high-risk investments. Kolychev stated that he has not heard of any discussions in Russia about creating a crypto currency strategic reserve similar to the Trump administration's plan. He said: "This is more of a central bank issue. Honestly, I have not heard of such discussions." Kolychev added that it is still too early to discuss the possibility of including crypto assets in the investment structure of the National Welfare Fund.
