The Sui Foundation Has Announced Plans for Future Token Issuance, Which Will Be Released in Batches Over the Next Few Years

June 29 (Cointime) -The Sui Foundation has announced plans for future token offerings. In order to keep the network active and prosperous, SUI tokens will be released in batches over the next few years. In order to communicate transparently and openly about the tokenomics of managing the supply of the Sui network and how to manage the supply of SUI, the Sui Foundation has shared our planned token distribution sequence and will be available for download through an API maintained by the Sui Foundation.

Current plans may be adjusted to ensure support for the Sui network's healthy and stable tokenomics model, and can be integrated into applications or services of interest to builders using an API through one of two endpoints: current month circulation data, all recorded months circulation data. In addition, a new page dedicated to the supply and circulation of SUI tokens has been added.

Note that circulation amounts refer to numbers at the end of each month.

  • Ethereum Latest Conference: Pectra's Devnet-1 is expected to be implemented in the next week or two

On July 5th, according to the summary of the 191st Ethereum Execution Layer Core Developer Meeting (ACDE) shared on the Ethereum forum, the meeting discussed the Pectra update and multiple proposals including EIP-7212. 1. Regarding the Pectra update, more clients are being prepared before the release of Devnet-1, but it is expected to be implemented in the next one or two weeks. The new update of EIP-7702 will be introduced on Devnet-2. 2. The EIP-7212 proposal has received support, but the decision to formally include it in Pectra will be made at the next ACDE meeting. This proposal brings many good user experience improvements in key/wallet management and uses widely supported encryption curves. 3. The meeting also discussed a proposal to add events to the pre-deployed system contract to facilitate cross-layer communication with EIP-7002 and EIP-7251. Everyone agreed that this change is meaningful and will update the corresponding contract. 4. The meeting called for the deactivation of EIP-158 2 to simplify the deployment of EIP-7702 and Verkle migration, but this proposal is no longer necessary given the latest update of 7702. 5. Finally, the meeting discussed progress in other protocol improvements, such as changes to expired history and blob memory pools to simplify user use of blob, such as rollup. Some people called for more regular updates on the progress of EIP-4444 and called on rollup and clients to take various measures to handle the process from blob producers to on-chain blob inclusion more intelligently.
  • Ethereum core developers introduce EIP-7732

Ethereum core developers have announced the release of EIP-7732, which is the formal specification of Enshrined Proposer-Builder Separation (ePBS). EIP-7732 is an upgrade only for the consensus layer, which separates execution verification from consensus verification and embeds PBS directly into Ethereum's consensus layer. PBS refers to the separation of block proposers and builders. EIP-7732 includes modifications to the beacon chain, fork selection rules, and P2P communication, and allows validators to play the role of builders. Builders are complex participants who build blocks to extract MEV. ePBS provides trustless exchange between proposers and builders, and enables validators to effectively utilize CPU. The implementation scheme has a Payload Timeliness Committee (PTC), which votes on the timeliness of payload releases by builders, and is a subset of the validation committee. The design of EIP-7732 is also compatible with future upgrades, such as the inclusion list.
