Hardware wallet provider Ledger has delayed the release of its key recovery feature following criticism from the crypto community. The company's CEO, Pascal Gauthier, stated that the feature would not be introduced until the code for it had been released. Ledger has also scheduled a Twitter Spaces session to discuss the issue.

The feature, called Ledger Recover, allows users to store encrypted backups of their seed phrases with a set of three custodians, but critics have raised concerns about sharing seed phrases with others and the safety of the proposed custody mechanism.
