In the “Your Gateway to DeFi in Vietnam” X Space hosted by Nexus Chain × Vietnam KOLs, top Vietnamese community leaders unanimously highlighted that:
“The next phase of DeFi will not be driven by a single application, but by a fundamental re-architecture of the underlying infrastructure.”
It is not DEX products that are blocking Vietnam’s rapid growth—it is the lack of an entry point that allows users to access DeFi easily and intuitively.
TriMai, Captain Capital, JK Capital, John Vo and others shared that Vietnamese users and capital are rapidly moving from CEX to on-chain systems. However, the current infrastructure still suffers from four structural bottlenecks:
High gas cost
High complexity
Cross-chain security risks
Insufficient performance
These barriers make it difficult for new users to enter DeFi and prevent institutions from safely migrating on-chain.
“Vietnam cares less about vision, and more about usability.”
According to the speakers, most Vietnamese users are not seeking technically sophisticated concepts—they care about:
“Is it cheap?”
“Is it simple?”
“What immediate value does it bring me?”
KOLs emphasized that fairness and early incentives are crucial.
In particular, Vietnamese users are highly sensitive to airdrop mechanisms, which remain one of the strongest growth accelerators.
Nexus responded with a three-pillar approach: Performance × Security × Usability
Nexus delivers real solutions to the actual barriers that on-chain users face today: ultra-low cost, no lock-ups, transparent on-chain settlement, and AI-powered tools.
Its innovation goes beyond products—its strength lies in the cohesiveness of the entire architecture:
High-performance Nexus Chain: 0-gas + signature-free interactions that eliminate Vietnam’s biggest barriers
Native bridge-less interoperability layer: Removes traditional bridge risks and high costs
L1 Orderbook DEX: Brings CEX-level execution to on-chain users, reducing learning friction
AI Strategy Engine (NexBat): Automates asset management and improves yields for newcomers
After evaluating these capabilities, the speakers concluded that Nexus is transforming DeFi’s core processes—trading, cross-chain execution, and strategy automation—from a fragmented system into a seamless, unified entry point.
“DeFi’s current breakout is not driven by narratives, but by the demand for usable on-chain products.”
Several guests expressed strong interest in the upcoming fair and transparent airdrop mechanism from Nexus—designed to prioritize real users across both Web2 and Web3 communities. They also welcomed deeper collaboration between Nexus and local Vietnamese communities.
“When DeFi becomes simple rather than complex, low-cost rather than expensive, and unified rather than fragmented, Vietnamese users will finally gain their true golden gateway.”
Nexus is committed to building infrastructure that is genuinely usable, accelerating Vietnam’s next wave of DeFi expansion.
With global capital flowing back on-chain, Nexus is increasingly being viewed as the primary gateway for Vietnamese users entering DeFi.
