The Argentine Tax Authority (AFIP) is intensifying its fight against tax evasion related to cryptocurrencies. The organization reported that as of Oct. 28, 3,997 taxpayers had received notices concerning discrepancies between their tax statements and reports on their bitcoin holdings. These statements are consistent with reports of operations taking place in 2020.

AFIP requested them to make timely corrections and pay the corresponding taxes.
