On March 20, Nasdaq-listed TON treasury company AlphaTON Capital announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 60% controlling stake in the gaming platform GAMEE for a maximum transaction price of $11 million, including a two-year performance-based earn-out payment. GAMEE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Animoca Brands, was valued at $18 million in this transaction. According to the acquisition agreement terms, AlphaTON Capital will take over the daily operational management of GAMEE and officially establish a strategic alliance with Animoca Brands. Concurrently, Animoca Brands is prohibited from acquiring a controlling stake in AlphaTON Capital for a period of two years. (Globenewswire)
