according to an analysis by a Washington D.C.-based think tank of the Pentagon's disclosed target strikes and assets used in operations, this war costs about $891.4 million per day. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) predicts that as the U.S. shifts to using "cheaper munitions" and the number of drones and missiles launched by Iran decreases, the cost of the war will decline. CSIS added in its report: "However, future costs mainly depend on the intensity of operations and the effectiveness of Iran's counterattacks." CSIS's analysis shows that air, sea, and ground operations will be the largest expense items. Air operations are expected to cost $30 million per day, sea operations about $15 million per day. Meanwhile, ground operations cost $1.6 million per day. According to CSIS statistics, the first 100 hours of this war cost $3.7 billion.
