Three major U.S. stock indexes open higher, NVIDIA stock price hits new high

The US stock market opened with the Dow up about 240 points, the S&P 500 index up 1.39%, and the Nasdaq up 2.05%. Nvidia (NVDA.O) surged more than 11% after its earnings report, reaching a new all-time high.
