On May 28, as SpaceX, under Elon Musk, is poised for an epic IPO, the market is buzzing with speculation about a potential merger with Tesla. This expectation was further reinforced by comments from early SpaceX investor Peter Diamandis, who stated that a merger between SpaceX and Tesla post-IPO is inevitable, with the only question being when it will happen, as Musk seeks to consolidate control over his companies. In fact, shortly after the SpaceX prospectus was released, Dan Ives and his team from the well-known American investment bank Wedbush issued a report predicting that SpaceX and Tesla would complete their merger by 2027. Ives noted that Tesla already holds shares in SpaceX, and the jointly constructed Terafab facility further ties the two companies together.
