On June 3, according to the Financial Times, as Meta seeks to create new significant revenue sources for WhatsApp, business users will soon be able to utilize AI agents to automatically respond to customer messages. This move is one of the first initiatives by Meta to commercialize its latest multi-billion dollar investment in AI, moving beyond reliance on its core advertising business. The new product, 'Business AI Agent,' has completed testing in a few markets over the past months and is now being rolled out globally. This tool can automatically reply to customer messages, provide businesses with operational feedback and data insights, and in some scenarios, complete sales conversions or appointment scheduling without human intervention. In the future, this feature will also expand to the Instagram messaging system. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated via video at a product launch event in London on Wednesday, 'A few years ago, I said that every business would eventually have its own AI agent, just as every company today has an email, website, and social media account. The pace of this development is even faster than I expected.'
