Grayscale launches Grayscale XRP Trust ETF on NYSE Arca

digital asset investment platform Grayscale announced today that the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (stock code: GXRP) has started trading as an Exchange Traded Product (ETP) on NYSE Arca. GXRP is an Exchange Traded Product that is not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 ("40 Act"), and therefore is not subject to the same regulations and protections as ETFs and mutual funds registered under the 40 Act. Investing in GXRP involves significant risks, including the potential loss of principal. GXRP holds XRP; however, investing in GXRP is not a direct investment in XRP.

Currently, major U.S. banking regulators, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), are also releasing related draft rules to advance the stablecoin regulatory framework. Meanwhile, the GENIUS Act does not yet address rules for interest-bearing stablecoins, which has become a significant obstacle for Congress in advancing broader cryptocurrency market structure legislation.
