BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has stated that there is a growing demand for cryptocurrency among the company's clients. Fink made the comments in an interview on Fox Business, shortly after rumours circulated that the US Securities and Exchange Commission had approved BlackRock's iShares spot Bitcoin ETF.

Fink believes that the recent Bitcoin rally is an example of the pent-up interest in crypto, and that clients around the world are expressing a need for it. The SEC is currently reviewing several applications for spot Bitcoin ETFs, including one from BlackRock, and analysts predict that there is a high chance of approval this year.
