Trump says he is closely monitoring Iranians in the United States.

on March 13, U.S. President Trump stated that against the backdrop of war with Iran, due to concerns about potential domestic terrorism threats, the United States is "monitoring" Iranians residing in the country. In a Fox News interview aired on Friday, Trump said, "We are watching them very, very closely. They are all under our surveillance now." Trump stated that during the previous administration, more than 1,700 Iranians illegally entered the United States. When asked if the U.S. was prepared to take action against sleeper cells, Trump said that related actions would be carried out "legally and very carefully." Trump said, "In many ways, caution is necessary because there are also many good people." Trump did not specify any particular threat posed by Iranians within the United States. However, since the U.S. and Israel launched a war against Iran, law enforcement agencies have been on high alert in recent days to prevent potential attacks.
