according to CryptoSlate, Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm's legal team may apply for a brief trial delay, as prosecutors plan to summon a hacker who allegedly used the mixing protocol as a witness. Storm's defense team has filed documents with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York requesting the exclusion of testimony from this unnamed witness, on the grounds that the prosecution only disclosed this witness information after the agreed deadline. The defense believes that this testimony may mislead the jury into wrongly believing that Storm was involved in related hacker activities. Storm's trial is set to begin on July 14th, and he faces charges of money laundering, conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmission business, and conspiracy to violate U.S. sanctions. The judge is expected to rule on the motion regarding the witness before the end of this weekend.
