On April 19, following an attack on KelpDAO's rsETH via the LayerZero OFT cross-chain bridge (resulting in a loss of approximately 116,500 rsETH, valued at around $292 million), several protocols have suspended related functions or markets to mitigate potential risks. Among them, Ethena, Lombard, Euler Labs, TRON DAO, ApeCoin/ApeChain, ether.fi, mETH Protocol, Solv Protocol, MOCA Foundation, and River have paused the LayerZero OFT cross-chain bridge. They emphasized that there is no direct exposure to rsETH and that user assets are secure, with the suspension being a precautionary measure, expecting a short-term recovery. Additionally, protocols such as Aave V3/V4, SparkLend, Lido, and Fluid have opted to freeze rsETH-related markets or treasuries, without involving the suspension of bridging functions.
