According to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, Anthropic is considering a new funding round with a valuation exceeding $900 billion. If successful, Anthropic will surpass OpenAI, which recently completed a funding round in March at a valuation of $852 billion, becoming the highest-valued AI startup in the world. Multiple insiders have reported that investors have made offers to Anthropic that are more than double its current valuation. Negotiations are still in the very early stages, and Anthropic has not accepted any offers yet. Previously, Anthropic had repeatedly rejected investment proposals valuing the company at $800 billion and above. Currently, Anthropic is valued at $350 billion, anchored by significant investments from Google and Amazon. Recently, Google committed to investing $10 billion at this valuation, with an additional $30 billion contingent on Anthropic meeting specific performance targets; Amazon invested $5 billion at the same valuation, with plans to add another $20 billion later. It remains unclear whether these two companies will participate in the new funding round. Anthropic is also considering an IPO as early as October.
