Bored Ape Yacht Club's experimental mint for Sewer Pass attracted more than $1.3 million worth of ETH in trading volume just one hour after the mint began. The floor price for the new NFT project sits at 1.475 ETH ($2,272), and comes one day after it was delayed for a day. 

A pseudonymous NFT trader known as "Pokeee" spent nearly $1 million to sweep 69 DeGods NFTs on Monday. Pokeee made the buy through the Magic Eden marketplace, using its tool that lets buyers “sweep the floor” or buy up a desired amount of NFTs from a project. Traders sometimes purchase numerous lowest-priced NFTs in a project as a bet on the future success of the collection, rather than individually selecting more valuable assets.

Trading rises as Yuga Labs reveals a game that requires a Bored Ape NFT to claim an access pass—and teases rewards for players.

Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, unveiled plans to gamify the process of minting NFTs. The startup today announced an upcoming online game in which players must navigate a sewer to claim rewards in the form of NFTs. From Jan. 17, players will be able to claim a free “Sewer Pass” — giving them access to a course named “Dookey Dash.” They then have until Feb. 8 to record as high a score as possible to claim power sources, the purpose of which remains unclear. These prizes will “evolve throughout 2023,” according to Yuga’s tweets. (The Block)
