William Bin Li is the founder of Bitauto Holdings Ltd. and has served as the chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer since 2005. In 2002, William Li and Mr. Weihai Qu, Bitauto's senior vice president, co-founded Beijing C&I Advertising Company Limited, one of Bitauto's SPEs in China. William Li has served as chairman of its board of directors and chief executive officer since its inception. In 2000, William Li co-founded Beijing Bitauto E-Commerce Co., Ltd. and served as its director and president until 2006. In 1996, William Li co-founded Beijing Antarctic Technology Development Co., Ltd., a pioneer web hosting service provider in China, and served as its director and general manager from 1996 to 2000. William Li currently also serves as the vice chairman of CADA (China Automotive Dealers Association) and was recognized by CADA in 2008 as one of the top 10 most influential and distinguished people in China's automobile dealer industry over the last twenty years. William Li received his bachelor's degree in sociology from Peking University where he minored in law.
