Michael van der Meer leads RobecoSAM’s emerging markets coverage helping integrate sustainable investing across Robeco funds. Prior to joining RobecoSAM, he worked for over eight years overseeing several of Trading Emissions PLC’s (TEP) clean energy investments in emerging markets. For TEP, a UK-listed investment fund, he served as a non-executive director at Singapore-based AsiaBiogas, oversaw a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Asia and managed TEP’s stake in Poland’s largest wind power project.

Michael Van der Meer started his career at an international consultancy in Beijing, being responsible for several EU-funded competitiveness and sustainability studies in China. Michael Van der Meer, a Mandarin speaker, received a BSc with First Class Honours and an MSc with Distinction from the University of London. Michael Van der Meer is a CFA Charterholder.
