Societe Generale announced the issuance of its first €10 million ($10.8 million) digital green bond, which is registered directly on the Ethereum public blockchain by SG-FORGE as a security token. The token has been fully subscribed by two top institutional investors, AXA Investment Managers and Generali Investments, through private placement. The bank will use the net proceeds from the bond sale to fund or refinance sustainable activities.
