Galxe to Compensate Users 110% for Recent Hack Losses

Galxe has announced that it will compensate users who lost funds in a recent hack by 110%. The affected users will receive their funds back on October 16th unless they request otherwise. The compensation will be paid in Tether (USDT) and the value will be calculated as of October 9th. Galxe is currently working with two security firms to track down the hacked funds and has improved its security settings and conducted security audits.

Web3 credential data network Galxe posted on X platform that the website has fully recovered and will continue to strengthen security. Galxe stated that on October 6th, an unidentified person contacted its domain service provider Dynadot, impersonating a Galxe authorized member and bypassing security programs with forged documents.

Beosin: After Galxe Suffered a DNS Hijack, Most User Funds Were Transferred to the 0x4103 Hacker Address

According to Beosin's Beosin EagleEye security risk monitoring, early warning and blocking platform monitoring, Galxe appears to have suffered a DNS hijacking attack, resulting in a large amount of user funds being stolen. Currently, the stolen funds involve multiple currencies, mainly sent to the address 0x4103baBcFA68E97b4a29fa0b3C94D66afCF6163d, which has collected over $70,000 worth of virtual currency.

Galxe: Domain Name Ownership Has Been Recovered, and the Loss Is Expected to Be Within US$200,000

According to a statement from Galxe, the website is currently offline and will be back online once the correct DNS records are spread worldwide. If users have not approved any transactions linking to their wallets with Galxe after 9:00 PM on October 6th Beijing time, their funds and information are safe.
