Bank of China Shanghai Branch completed the first cross-border digital RMB payment settlement of 100 million yuan in the financial factor market

According to a report from the Shanghai Securities News, Bank of China's Shanghai branch has closely cooperated with the Shanghai Gold Exchange to complete a cross-border settlement of 100 million yuan in digital RMB for precious metal trading, achieving the "first transaction" of cross-border digital RMB payment in the field of financial element markets.The relevant person in charge of Bank of China's Shanghai branch said, "We worked together with Bank of China's Shanghai RMB trading business headquarters and Bank of China (Hong Kong) to complete this transaction. The funds received from overseas were successfully transferred to the Shanghai Gold Exchange's international board free trade RMB account in the form of digital RMB payment, contributing financial strength to support Shanghai's deepening implementation of the free trade pilot zone and promoting the upgrading of the international trade center."

"Bank of China Cross-border E-commerce B2B Digital RMB Application Solution" released

People's Daily reported that the Digital Currency Office of the Head Office of the Bank of China has released the "Bank of China's Cross-border E-commerce B2B Digital RMB Application Solution". This solution explores the improvement of cross-border payment experience through digital RMB, and provides comprehensive services for cross-border fund circulation, Chinagoods order information matching, and foreign exchange compliance for all parties participating in cross-border trade. By building an umbrella wallet architecture, it achieves "horizontal connectivity between domestic and foreign, and vertical support for the entire system". Currently, this model has been successfully implemented in some customers of Yiwu Small Commodity City.
