OP Labs will upgrade the OP Sepolia test network on March 19

OP Labs announced the upgrade of the OP Sepolia test network on March 19th, which includes the inclusion of unauthorized OP Stack fault proofs. Developers using bridges, centralized exchanges, and custom withdrawal solutions on OP Stack will need to make logic changes due to the introduction of destructive changes. Due to fault-tolerant integration, withdrawals between OP Sepolia and Sepolia now require a processing time of seven days. The OP Stack fault-tolerant system consists of three main elements: the Fault-proof Program (FPP), the Fault-proof Virtual Machine (FPVM), and the Dispute Resolution Game Protocol.

OP Labs releases bug fix for eth-optimism SDK not being able to certify certain types of withdrawals

OP Labs has released an error fix program for eth-optimism SDK that caused certain types of withdrawals to be unproven. Teams using such SDKs should update their dependencies to the latest version, while developers replacing the SDK should make similar changes to their code.

OP Labs: Ecotone mainnet upgrade planned for March 14th

OP Labs announced on X platform that 4844 will be launched on the OP chain. The Ecotone upgrade will take place on March 14th at 8:00 AM Beijing time, provided that the upgrade proposal is approved by Optimism governance and node operators take measures to prepare for the upgrade. After setting up the basic Ecotone configuration, node operators need to use the new Beacon endpoint configuration to operate the node. This is because shortly after Ecotone is activated, batch transactions will be sent as 4844 blobs, and blobs can only be retrieved from Beacon nodes.

OP Labs: Ethereum Goerli test network will be deprecated after January 17th, it is recommended to migrate as soon as possible

OP Labs announced on X platform that the planned abandonment of the Ethereum Goerli test network, which was scheduled for early January, has been postponed. It will take place after the Dencun upgrade scheduled for January 17th. Developers are still advised to migrate from OP Goerli to OP Sepolia as soon as possible to prepare for this change.

Canyon network upgrade for OP Goerli and OP Sepolia scheduled for November 15

OP Labs announced on X platform that the Canyon network upgrade for OP Goerli and OP Sepolia is scheduled for UTC 17:00 on November 14, 2023 (1:00 AM Beijing time on November 15). These software versions lay the foundation for the future iterations of the super chain, and it is recommended that node providers and OP Chain operators upgrade their testnet nodes before November 7 to ensure readiness for the network upgrade later this month.
