GitHub Officially Launches Its Key Security Feature

Two months after its initial release of the beta version, GitHub has officially launched its key security feature. The key uses an encrypted key pair to provide cloud-synced identity authentication, allowing users to log into websites and applications using the same screen lock PIN code or biometric technology or physical security identity authentication key as their device. Essentially, it combines the security benefits of passwords and two-factor authentication (2FA) into one step, making it easier for people to securely access their online services.
