According to Bloomberg, Zodia Custody, a crypto custodian owned by Standard Chartered, has obtained registration as a virtual asset service provider in Luxembourg, thereby expanding its presence into Europe.
Zodia Custody is a crypto custodian that offers institutional-grade services to clients for the safekeeping and management of their digital assets. The company was launched in December 2020 as a joint venture between Standard Chartered Bank and Northern Trust Corporation, two global financial institutions with a significant presence in the banking industry.
Zodia Custody is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK and has now also obtained registration as a virtual asset service provider in Luxembourg, allowing it to expand its reach into Europe.
