Ripple's XRP Ledger Recovers from Network Halt Causing Delay in Transactions

Ripple's XRP Ledger experienced a network halt that lasted for over an hour before being rebooted on February 4th. The freeze occurred at block height 93927174, causing network activity to drift apart. Ripple's chief technology officer, David Schwartz, stated that validator operators had to intervene manually to build enough consensus to pull the network over to a coordinated ledger stream. The incident delayed around 88,000 transactions, sparking concerns about Ripple's centralized setup. However, XRP's customer funds remained safe throughout the incident, and the token has since rebounded 3.2% to $2.53 at the time of publication.
